- CE documentation for existing overhead cranes
From 3D scanning and reverse engineering to calculations and technical documentation
Are the original drawings, calculations, or technical documents for your existing overhead crane missing?
NESKO Engineering technically re-maps the existing installation and assists in reconstructing the necessary documentation.
Of 3D scanning, reverse engineering, CAD engineering, strength calculations and CE guidance we rebuild a reliable technical foundation for your existing overhead crane.
Why does this service exist?
With older overhead cranes and gantry cranes, it frequently occurs that the installation is still in daily use, while original drawings, calculations, or technical documents have been lost over the years.
This can cause problems when the installation needs to be modified or technically assessed, or when additional information is requested during an audit or inspection.
In that case, NESKO Engineering can start from the existing situation. We are remapping the rolling bridge and reconstructing the technical information needed to build a substantiated dossier.
Original drawings are missing
The original construction drawings are no longer available.
Calculations are missing
There is no or insufficient data regarding the original dimensions.
The installation was modified.
The rolling bridge or parts of it were modified over the years.
Technical file is incomplete
Available documentation no longer corresponds to the current situation.
Has your overhead crane been modified over the years?
A rolling bridge does not always remain in its original condition during its lifespan.
Consider a modified hoist, electrical modifications, reinforcements, new drives, changes to the control system, or a change of application.
When the current installation no longer corresponds to the original documentation, NESKO Engineering can help to technically re-map the changed situation.
We examine the impact of the changes and which drawings, calculations, risk analyses, or other technical documents need to be supplemented or updated.
Why NESKO?
Re-documenting an existing overhead crane requires more than just creating new drawings.. The existing geometry, structure, loads, connections, safety aspects, and available documentation must be reviewed together.. To achieve this, NESKO Engineering combines multiple disciplines within a single process:
3D scanning → Reverse engineering → CAD engineering → Strength calculations → CE documentation
This means you do not need to engage a separate engineering partner for every step.
