When does NESKO Projects bvba collect and process data?

We collect and process data about you when you engage us as a customer—general customer management, processing of quotations and bookings—when you subscribe to our free newsletter, etc., or when you otherwise contact us. If you are a supplier, your data or that of your contact persons is processed in the context of these activities. In addition, your data, as a customer or as a supplier, is processed when preparing invoices and other accounting documents. In some cases, we process your data with the aim of presenting our services to you (direct marketing). Finally, we may process data about you because it is or may be relevant to our activities, for example in order to be able to call on your advice or services.

Which data does NESKO Projects bvba collect and process?

This concerns the data you provide to us and that we need for the proper execution of your trip or other services for which you engage us, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, etc., and professional data, such as company name and VAT number, and any other related data. In most cases, you provide these data directly, but it is also possible that we obtain them from other parties.

The data may also relate to your interests in, or plans for, future trips or related services. Financial data must be processed for accounting purposes. Data about your position and activities are processed in the context of communication or public relations.

We collect these data both when you fill out our paper forms and when you do so electronically.

If you visit our website, cookies are used, about which you can find more information in our cookie policy. NESKO Projects bvba can collect anonymous or aggregated, non-personal data, such as browser type or IP address, the operating system you use or the domain name of the website through which you came to the NESKO Projects website, or through which you leave it. This enables us to continuously optimize the NESKO Projects website for users.

For which purposes does NESKO Projects bvba collect and process data?

We process these data for our customer management (properly executing your projects or providing related services or products and thus performing the contract that we conclude with you), direct marketing (to inform you about the services we offer), supplier management, accounting, and communication/public relations.

As for our website, we tailor its content and ease of use as much as possible to you as a user. In addition, we process your data to comply with the obligations arising from making a website and its content available and to enable you to use the interactive applications and services on this website.

What are the legal bases for NESKO Projects bvba’s data processing?

As a rule, we collect and process your data on the basis of the contractual relationship we have with you as a result of your assignment and the contract that we conclude with you. This is also the basis for processing data about suppliers.

Where processing is not necessary to perform the contractual relationship, such as for direct marketing and communication, it is based on our legitimate interests as a company, in particular the freedom of enterprise and information. We always ensure a balance between our interests and yours, for example by granting you a right to object.

Are data disclosed to third parties?

Your data are mainly processed internally for customer management and accounting. They may be passed on to subcontractors we engage. This is specifically the case for the proper execution of your projects and any related services for which you engage us. They may be passed on for certain ad hoc services or assignments to subcontractors we use, always under our control/under the control of Koen Van Elsacker.

Sometimes we are required to pass on information about you. This is particularly the case when we are legally obliged to do so or when public authorities have the right to request data from us. As a rule, your data are not transferred to third countries or international organizations.

If we process your data for direct marketing, you can object at any time. To do so, simply contact Koen Van Elsacker via koen@neskoengineering.be. You can unsubscribe from a newsletter via the link provided in every newsletter.
